Concrete Foundation Waterproofing
Black Dog installs exterior waterproofing on concrete foundation walls using a spray-applied membrane followed by dimple board. The spray forms the water-resistant barrier at the wall. The dimple board adds protection over the coating and provides a drainage space outside the foundation. We use Tremco WATCHDOG H3 or TUFF-N-DRI H8 depending on the job, with DMX and other quality dimple membranes.

Tremco WATCHDOG H3
WATCHDOG H3 is a flexible, spray-applied asphalt waterproofing membrane enhanced with polymers. It adheres to the wall to form a continuous coating and can bridge small concrete shrinkage cracks. Its formulation helps it stay in place on vertical surfaces during application, supporting consistent coating thickness.
Tremco TUFF-N-DRI H8
TUFF-N-DRI H8 is a flexible, spray-applied waterproofing membrane with greater tested resistance to water pressure than WATCHDOG H3. It stretches across small concrete shrinkage cracks to help maintain the water barrier. Black Dog uses H3 or H8 according to the needs of the job.
Dimple Board: Drainage and Protection
Our concrete-wall waterproofing includes dimple board over the sprayed membrane. We use DMX and other quality brands. The raised dimples create a drainage space, while the sheet helps protect the waterproofing coating from surrounding backfill.
The membrane and dimple board work together: one forms the barrier at the wall, and the other protects it and helps water move toward the foundation drainage system.
